If you’ve right-clicked on a graphic and “saved as” before, you’re trying too hard. WELS provides their logo files for “Member congregations and schools—and pastors, staff ministers, faculty, teachers, staff members, laypeople, or design professionals acting on their behalf.”
That’s a lot of people… and that’s a lot of freedom.
However…
The logo may be used only in conformity with the WELS Identity Guidelines.
So read the guidelines carefully!
3 highlights:
1) Make sure there’s high contrast between the logo and the background for the best visibility.
2) Maintain generous clear space (margin) around the logo.
3) Don’t alter it in any way (including framing it with a shape).
