βPaper is to write things down that we need to remember. Our brains are used to think.β
-Albert Einstein
Most of you just wrapped on a big week. If you’re reading in the future, today is December 29th – you do the math. π
I’m sure you spent lots of time and mental energy on your promotional materials: social media graphics, posters, billboards, emails, mass-mailing postcards, Facebook ads… the list goes on…
Well, how did it go?
β
In my time as a teacher, I learned the value of time spent reflecting on how a lesson played out. Reflection was the only way to make the lesson better next time.
β
…but I understand reflection sounds like homework if your brain can’t empathize with future you.
β
So – imagine the Christmas 2024 version of you and, for his/her sake, try this handy tool I made:
β
β Type in your written reflections – what worked? what didn’t?
β Add any attachments you’d like to reference next year
β Add any links you’d like to reference next year
β Pick a date in the future when you’d like to receive an email containing all of the above
β
It’s an easy way to capture everything while it’s still fresh in your mind. Then, you can let my friendly robot remember the details. He’ll only appear in your inbox when you ask him to. π€
Try it! π
This isn’t just for Christmas. Use this tool whenever you wrap a big event. Bookmark it on my new website (subtle self-promo π).
