Part 2 of our series focuses on 20-somethings.
Last week, I wrote about 4 ways to get retirees involved in marketing for your church or school. See that newsletter here.
What about 20-somethings? Here are a few ideas:
1) Lucky you – there’s a college student majoring in Marketing or Graphic Design in your congregation.
Offer them a paid or unpaid internship. You get a new set of eyes and a creative mind – they get content for their portfolio.
2) Live event coverage
Assign volunteers to capture and share live updates on social media during church events (think Instagram stories or short Facebook lives).
You don’t have to give our your login credentials to do this! You can add the person as a limited contributor on your Meta Business page. They’ll know what to do.
3) Offer a QR code to leave a Google Review
Most young people understand the value of a Google review, and many will go ahead and do it (because they care about you). All you can do is ask – and make it as easy as possible to carry out the task.
Learn how to create a direct review link here.

4) Create a Digital Marketing team, but keep each role small
Asking anyone to handle your social media, especially if they work full-time, is a gigantic ask.
Asking them to create 2 posts/month or update your website once every quarter results in a way easier, “yes.”
Maybe you have people in your congregation or school family who already know how to do these things – maybe they work in marketing or at a small business. If not, it may take some initial training.
Long term, you still save time.
